We were able to raise more than $5 million for five nonprofit Beneficiary organizations and 10 smaller Community Beacon organizations that are making a significant impact on those living on Atlanta’s Westside.

Thanks to the generosity of donors throughout Atlanta, each of the 2019 Beloved Benefit’s Beneficiaries was able to impact their community in inspiring ways:
227 Employed

City of Refuge placed 227 individuals from the Workforce Innovation Hub Community into jobs.
4% Recidivism

Atlanta Police Foundation achieved 4% Recidivism rate, outperforming the national average of 70%-80%.
247 Assisted

Grove Park assisted 247 individuals as they improved their economic mobility through community building and outreach programs.
837 Homes

Westside Future Fund provided 837 Affordable Housing Units to the Westside community.
315 Educated

Westside Works assisted 315 individuals through graduate skills-based program(s).
The 2019 Beloved Benefit brought business leaders, nonprofits and community members together for the opportunity to not only learn about each other but also build a foundation for future work together as we seek to bring about the Beloved Community in Atlanta.
There's more to be done.
When the amazing experience that is the 2022 Beloved Benefit comes to an end, the real work to bring about the Beloved Community in Atlanta will continue with new enthusiasm, boosted by the support our wonderful Beneficiaries and Community Beacons will receive. The newly focused attention on their work will energize their efforts to make affordable housing in Atlanta a reality for so many who are searching to create healthier, more equitable and vibrant communities.
